Lunch with the Sultan of Johor and 16 religious leaders

JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has opened the doors of Istana Bukit Serene here to meet with leaders from 16 non-Muslim religious groups in the state.

The Sultan met with each of them at the palace’s main hall and asked the representatives about the development and welfare of the respective religious groups, around 12.30pm Wednesday.

Sultan Ibrahim also advised them to unite all religions under Bangsa Johor.

After that, Sultan Ibrahim hosted a luncheon for his guests, led by Johor Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism executive council chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong.

The groups included Malaysia Buddhist Association Johor branch, Hindu Sagam Johor and the Malacca-Johor Catholic diocese. ~ The Star Online
