First iApologia Workshop in MAJODI
During the camp, Pastor Daniel and his team from SIB KL presented the apologetics sessions mainly in Bahasa Malaysia. The participants were also asked to practice in groups and with partners, typical lines of dialogue that occur when our faith is being challenged. At night, the participants prayed for themselves, their friends and for our country Malaysia. The camp also showed a real ecumenical spirit of unity; though early morning Mass was only obligated for Catholics, all participants came and celebrated the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross together.
Menix from Temenggong Ibrahim Teacher’s Training College Larkin gave feedback that he ‘learnt how to defend the Christian Faith by using facts and logic’. ‘All of my questions and doubts were answered; Christianity is the true religion by fact and by faith’ declared Jonathan from UiTM Pasir Gudang. Gabriel Tsais, the president of the Catholic Students Society of UTM Skudai also affirmed pastor Daniel, ‘He is a good speaker; even though we were tired as the sessions were long, but we still can focus’.
The participants promised that they would share what they have learnt wth their friends within the next week. They also said that they wanted to invite their friends to the next iApologia workshop. Quite a few of them signed up to become facilitators and trainers in the future. More workshops are being planned for this year and next.
