Annual Parish Pastoral Assembly (PPA) 2021
It is the time of the year again for the Diocese of Malacca Johore Parish to organise their annual exercise of the Parish Pastoral Assembly (PPA). The purpose of Parish Pastoral Assembly (PPA) is to get the pulse of the Parish to continue the mission of Jesus in fostering her people in terms of spiritual, emotional and physical needs.
The Parish Pastoral Assembly keeps the Parish in focus of Jesus’ mission by constantly Reviewing (SEE), Reflecting (JUDGE) and Renewing (ACT). The mission of Jesus is passed on through the Diocesan Pastoral Assemblies/Synod and Diocesan Directives. Thus, the Parish Pastoral Assembly ensures that the Pastoral Actions of the parish are carried out and aligned to the Vision and Mission of the Diocese.
The Parish Assembly is a place of:
- DISCOVERY, DIALOGUE, DISCERNMENT & DESIGN
- What is the Holy Spirit saying to the People of God now?
- What do I / We ASPIRE for the Parish?

How much have we achieved of the Parish Pastoral Plan in line with the Diocesan Directives? What are our STRENGTHS? - REFLECT
How can we improve / develop the Parish Pastoral Plan? Indicate areas of priority. - RENEW & RE-INVENT
Time-line for Review, Evaluation and develop new initiatives / projects (ministries / organizations).
In conjunction with PPA, Mission Pastoral Institute (MPI) organised briefing on How to organise PPA? in English on 21st July, BM on 9th August, Tamil on 19th August and Mandarin on 27th August. MPI would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who are involved in the planning, presenting, translation of the presentation slides and participants who attended the briefing.
