Re: Natural Disaster Fund Contribution to Flood-Hit Kerala and other affected dioceses
Attached here is the copy of the press release dated 15 August 2018, on the unprecedented floods in Kerala, released by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI).
In solidarity with the flood-hit people of Kerala and other affected dioceses, the Malacca Johore Diocese will be contributing RM75,000.00 from our Natural Disaster Fund collections to CBCI towards the relief operations there.
Let us continue to join Pope Francis to pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering from this great calamity.
Please note there will be no diocesan initiative this time round because we have already done so recently for the Tabung Harapan Malaysia.
